The temple site is on an 8.3 acre lot at the southwest corner of the intersection of Woodlands Parkway and South Forest Gate Drive in The Woodlands, Texas. The temple lot adjoins Forest Gate Park.

The temple site is approximately 7 miles west of I-45 and ½ mile west of Keykendahl.

Location Advantages

This site was selected due to many advantages. Foremost, it is prime real estate with convenient access via main roads from anywhere in The Woodlands. It is equally easy for devotees from surrounding areas to visit.

The site's prominent location will gracefully convey the dignity of Hindu heritage and traditions.

It is also a practical choice. The site is large enough to accommodate ample parking for about 200 cars, several thousand square feet of building space and some open areas for any future additions. The neighboring park will be an added attraction for families with young children.

Other sites were considered for the location of the temple. However, they were ruled out for reasons such as distance, size, adjacent properties, or existing conditions that could potentially affect the proper construction of a temple.
